Rules and Regulations

Flower Arrangement: Arrangements should be placed no further than 18 inches from the headstone. Any arrangements desired may be placed on the headstone. Flowers may be placed anywhere on the gravesite on decoration day, but will be moved within 18 inches of the headstone when the caretaker is ready to mow. Faded and tattered flowers should be removed by the owner. The caretaker will remove flowers and decorations as they become unsightly and interfere with mowing. Nothing permanent such as rocks, bushes, covers, etc., may be placed on the gravesite. It is necessary for lawn mowers to pass over the graves when mowing the cemetery.

Grave Opening and Closing: The family of the deceased or their representative will contact the secretary to open and close a grave. Should the secretary be unavailable, another board member should be contacted. The cemetery has contracted with a gravedigger to open and close graves in the cemetery. As the grave settles, it will be leveled and smoothed.

Monuments: The family or representative will contact the secretary or another board member to mark the plot and set the alignment for the monuments. Monuments set illegally (those not marked by the board members) are subject to be moved to its proper placement by the owner or at his or her expense. All debris generated by monument placement must be removed from the cemetery. Should an owner of monuments desire to remove a monument from the cemetery, the secretary or board member should be contacted. Also, there are no benches allowed in the cemetery.
